Lesco’s double-digit, bogus de-tection bill charging revealed

Electricity consumers started getting a strong shock from Colesco authorities. During the anti-electricity theft campaign, it has been revealed that fake detection bills are being charged.

LESCO began to blame its incompetence on consumers, fake units were charged on permanently disconnected meters and “universal numbers”, dozens of cases were filed against a single customer, for charging fake detection bills during LESCO’s anti-electricity theft campaign. It has been revealed that fake units were charged on “universal numbers” in various offices. The bills collected on universal numbers in the revenue department could not be fed into the accounts. Dozens of cases were registered against the same customer.

Sources said that during the anti-electricity theft campaign in LESCO, detection bills were charged by filing FIRs on universal numbers, due to which the bills collected on universal numbers could not be fed into the accounts of the company’s revenue department.
On the other hand, the sources further said that bogus de-tection bills were issued to government connections in various offices of the company. Fake de-tection bills were also charged on the numbers of customers who were disconnected on a regular basis.
