London: British Foreign Minister David Lammy says that a partial ban on arms exports to Israel has been imposed.

British Foreign Secretary David Lemmy told parliament that a partial ban was imposed on items that could be used against Hamas in the Gaza conflict.

The ban will also apply to parts of fighter jets, combat helicopters and drones.

The UK will continue to support Israel’s right to self-defence in accordance with international law.

He said that we fear that our weapons may be used to violate international humanitarian law.

Israeli Foreign Minister Katz responded by saying that we were disappointed by Britain’s decision. This would send the wrong message to Hamas and its patron Iran.

According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, between 2019 and 2023, the United States is the largest supplier of arms to Israel.
