Cyclone further away from Karachi, partly cloudy and chance of drizzle today
Karachi: As Cyclone Asna moved further away, the possibility of more heavy rain and strong winds has ended in the city of Quaid.
The Department of Meteorology has issued a ninth alert regarding the cyclone in the Arabian Sea, according to which the storm Asna has moved further from Karachi and the distance has reached 500 km, while it is 350 km from the coastal areas of Balochistan and Mara and 260 km from Gwadar.
Cyclone Asna is moving towards the southwest and is gradually decreasing in intensity.
Fishermen of Sindh can go for their hunting from today, but fishermen of Balochistan have been instructed not to go into the sea till tonight.
Karachi recorded a minimum temperature of 23.5 degrees Celsius on the second day, while the maximum temperature is expected to be 32 degrees Celsius today. In the next 24 hours, winds will blow at a speed of 5 to 15 km from different directions.
During the last 24 hours, Korangi received the highest rainfall of 6.6 mm while Shariah Faisal received 4 mm, Maripur 3, Kemari 2.5 and DHA 1.6 mm. 1 mm rain was recorded in Nazimabad, Gulshan-e Hadid and Sadar.
