The celebrations of Hazrat Dataganj Bakhsh’s Urs Mubarak will end (today), there will be a local holiday

On the second day of the 981st Urs of Makhdoom Awwalia and Syedna Hazrat Ali Hajwiri known as Data Ganj Bakhsh, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, a large number of pilgrims from inside and outside the country visited the shrine and recited Fatiha and offered wreaths.

A special langar was also arranged for the pilgrims coming to the Urs, where the devotees came to offer their garlands to the beat of the drum. There was a rush.

Strict security arrangements have been made on the occasion of Urs, the roads leading to the Durbar were closed for general traffic by placing containers while the traffic was diverted through alternative routes. On the occasion of Urs today 26 August Monday has been declared a public holiday, according to the notification, district administration offices, courts and educational institutions will remain closed.
