The new emir of the Gulf nation of Kuwait set a precedent by handing over the foreign ministry post to a former diplomat outside the royal family for the first time in history. According to local media, the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, signed an Emirial Decree on the formation of a new government, which will be headed by Prime Minister Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah. It has been learned that the new cabinet of Kuwait consists of 13 ministers, including 2 ministers from the ruling family, of which Al-Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Al-Sabah, a retired Brigadier General, has been appointed to the portfolio of Defence and Acting Minister of Interior. While Al-Sheikh Firas Saud Al-Malik Al-Sabah has been given the post of Acting Minister of State for the Ministry of Social Affairs and Cabinet Affairs, Noura Al-Masha’an is the only female minister in the new Kuwaiti government, having been appointed as the Minister of Labor and Municipal Affairs. is

It is being told that among the ministers of the 13-member cabinet headed by Prime Minister Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Fahad Yusuf Al-Sabah is the country’s Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior, Dr. Imad Muhammad Al-Atiqi. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil, Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi is the Minister of Information and Culture while the portfolio of the Ministry of Health has been entrusted to Dr. Ahmed Abdul Wahab Al-Awadi, Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, Acting Cabinet Affairs. The Minister of State will be Firas Saud Al-Sabah, the Minister of Finance and the Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment will be Dr. Anwar Ali Al-Muzaf.
It has been learned that the Minister of Power, Water and Renewable Energy, Minister of State for Housing Affairs will be Dr. Salem Falah Al-Hajraf, Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Minister of State for Communications Dawood Sulaiman. The post of Minister of Education and Chief Minister of Education and Scientific Research has been given to Dr. Adel Muhammad Al-Adwani, Minister of Trade and Industry is Abdullah Hamad Al-Jawaan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Ali Al Yahya, Minister of Justice and Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Faisal. Saeed Al-Ghareeb has been appointed, Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Local Government Affairs Dr. Noora Muhammad Al-Mashaan.
